Ethics & Safety

Community Guidelines.

Our standards for fostering a professional, transparent, and fair environment for both brands and creators.

Our Core Principles

We expect everyone using Promo to treat other community members with the highest level of professionalism, respect, and business integrity.

Transparency

We require clear campaign briefs and verified creator metrics. No deceptive performance claims, fake audience scores, or hidden conditions.

Fairness

We protect creator payments through escrow and protect brands from uncompleted deliverables. Mutual accountability is the key to our digital model.

Professionalism

Ensure polite communication inside our encrypted chat, deliver deliverables on time, and release payouts immediately upon validation.

What We Expect From Creators

Prohibited Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

Engagement in any of the following activities will result in immediate profile suspension, escrow confiscation, and a permanent platform ban:

Off-Platform Solicitations: Requesting, suggesting, or accepting payment coordinates outside of Promo's secure escrow gateway is strictly prohibited.
Metric Fraud & Botting: Buying bot followers, fake likes, comments, or utilizing view-generating scripts to inflate campaign metrics.
Content Plagiarism: Uploading copyrighted work, submitting other creators' portfolio items, or using AI-generated models without brand approval.
Harassment & Abuse: Any aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, or offensive language inside our direct messaging chat tool.
Deceptive Representation: Registering fake business credentials, submitting another person's ID, or hosting multiple duplicate accounts.
Bad Faith Dispute Filing: Submitting fake screenshots, manipulating conversation logs, or locking escrow balances without legitimate cause.

Disputes & Appeals Process

If a brand and creator cannot agree on a draft deliverable, revision, or payout release, either party can raise a dispute. Here is our formal moderation timeline:

1

Dispute Filing

A dispute is opened from the active campaign dashboard screen. The campaign's escrow wallet balance is immediately locked to safeguard the funds.

2

Evidence Submission (48-Hour Window)

Both parties submit screenshots of agreement notes, draft copies, conversation logs, and social platform metrics reports within 48 hours of filing.

3

Admin Arbitration & Resolution (72-Hour Window)

Promo's mediation panel reviews the brief requirements, signed agreements, and drafts. A binding ruling is issued within 72 hours, releasing or refunding escrow funds.

Need to appeal? If you have new, critical evidence regarding a closed dispute, email your case file to appeals@promo.app within 5 business days of the ruling. Decisions on appeals are finalized within 5 business days.

How to Report Guidelines Violations

If you spot any user violating these policies, violating copyright rules, soliciting off-platform payments, or acting unprofessionally, please report it immediately.
